When Detox Changes Your Life
This story is about a journey. Meet Jill, the lovely, blond mother in the photo. I met Jill when she was lined up to remove her gallbladder, suffering from Celiac disease, and caring for 3 babies under the age of 2. The gallbladder attacks were unbearable and quite frankly she had no time for them. Nursing two young twins with a nearly 2 year old son, Jill had her hands and her husbands' hands full at all times.
Jill joined the Summer detox in 2014. She thought I was crazy recommending whole fat dairy when she had a gallbladder problem but she was ready to try anything.
What she didn't realize was that not only were we going to clean out that gallbladder congestion with some healthy fats, but her body was going to be able to use those heathy fats to feed her babies.
Jill's health improved so drastically after that first detox that her husband decided to join us in the fall detox later that year. Jill has a helpful spirit, but I asked her to give her husband the space to experience his own detox. I recommended that Jill allow her husband to explain his unique experience and to simply listen and learn how this detox is such a personal journey of finding your own perfect health.
This is what Jill has shared about her experience.
"His journey is his journey." One of the best pieces of marriage advise I have gotten. Jessica gave it to me as a gift during my second detox, which was the first for my husband. We have definitely grown as a couple with those nurturing words.
My original detox had a looming surgery date to remove my gallbladder. The detox was a "last ditch" effort to try to save my organ. What I did not know was that not only would the detox change my health, but it would change our lives.
We began the process of removing toxins from our bodies and our home. As we picked up new tips about being healthier, we improved the health of our 2 year old and infant twins. I was nervous at first about my milk supply, but my milk actually increased as a result of the detox.
I'm happy to say a year later that I still have my gallbladder, our home is cleaner from toxins, and our marriage is better than ever. I attribute these improvements due to our unique journeys on the detox.
Jill's healthy journey did not end last year after the fall detox. She joined us this winter and will join us again this summer. This is not your ordinary detox, it's a much more gentle way of living without toxic chemicals in your body and it can be done over and over until your healthy diet becomes a lifestyle.
Jill took the detox idea one step further and has put to use her abundant new energy. Jill began marketing for a wellness company by the name, Melaleuca. Melaleuca, the botanical name for tea-tree oil, is an online shopping market that manufactures their own products to replace the toxic versions you may currently purchase in drugstores.
Many of their household cleansers are enzyme based with essential oils. Essential oils have been proven to be antibacterial but without the harmful poisonous chemicals that most formulas contain. Make sure your household cleansers are using essential oils instead of harmful chemicals.
Many people are struggling with estrogen dominance these days; we are seeing increasing rates of PCOS, endometriosis, menopausal symptoms, man breasts, breast cancer, and infertility issues. Did you know that most plastics cause estrogen dominance, as well as parabens, phthalates and other toxins that are most likely in every toiletry item in your house?
I began making my own products at home when I realized how much these toxins were affecting me and my family. However, I know that not everyone has the time to make their own laundry soap, shampoo, and toothpaste. If you want to start greening your home, but need a more convenient approach, contact Jill. She can educate you about the company and help you decide if Melaleuca's store is the right fit for you.
