Merry Everything!

Merry everything and happy all the time! Probably the cutest phrase I've ever seen on a card, so unfortunately I can't take credit for it, but I mean it just the same. Whatever you celebrate, I hope you are enjoying yourself to the fullest and sharing it with those you love.

We celebrate Christmas eve dinner and Christmas morning which always means a delicious breakfast made from scratch. My mom used to make biscuits and gravy from the leftover dinner. Check out how I made this recipe gluten free.

In my ignorant days, (on a low fat diet), I renamed her meal, "bricks and mortar." My poor mama, making everything from scratch with no appreciation. Little did I know then how dangerous it is to omit fat from your diet.

Most Americans are deficient in fats; healthy fats.

Well, here's to you mom, biscuits and gravy Food Foundation style to keep the tradition going. Does your family have a special family meal that's rich in healthy fats? Please share it below, I would love to hear about your traditional holiday recipes.
