5 Ingredient Cookies

By Jessica Campbell, MS, FNTP

My daughter makes these 5 ingredient cookies every weekend and they disappear too quickly. I beg her to make more because these cookies are healthy, full of omega 3 fatty acids, and they really hit that chocolate peanut butter sweet tooth. No baking is necessary so even the smallest child can make them with you.

Simply find these 5 ingredients or something equivalent:

5 Ingredient Cookies

  1. 1 cup whole rolled oats, old fashioned, or quick oats
  2. 1/2 cup ground flax meal (ground flax seeds)
  3. 2 Tbsp raw honey
  4. 2/3 cup crunchy peanut butter, almond butter, or cashew
  5. 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips or nibs if you're hardcore like me :)

Roll them up into little balls and store them in the fridge. A decent serving size for a pre workout snack or a school lunch boxes is 2.

We like to roll them in dark chocolate and make special truffles. Let me know what you're going to do with yours...
